A site redesign project for a sister company. After splitting the amttraining.com website from matchettgroup.com they required a refresh.
As the project lead, analyst, designer, developer and tester, I researched a number of CMS solutions before settling on WordPress, which had just released version 3 at the time. The new version introduced a number of capabilities that brought it away from it’s historical blogging roots and made it a viable CMS solution.
I conducted an in-depth study of the previous site’s analytics. This allowed me to devise an information architecture and design that took full advantage of what the visitors previously looked for, and what I anticipate they will look for. This research along with changes to the Google algorithms dictated the basis for the on-site SEO optimisations I introduced.
