about rob
The hammer quote is paraphrased from Maslow. It’s easy to look at the tools you have immediately available, the ones you are comfortable with, and stick to those. That’s not the way I work. Hopefully this comes across in my portfolio through the diversity of skills, techniques and methods used.
Some More About Me
An adopter of logic and reason with a firm belief in treat as you wish to be treated. I’m a graduate with a 1st class degree in Information Technology in Organisations from Southampton University. The whole experience was one of the best in my life, so far.
Upon leaving I joined The Matchett Group and Adkins Matchett & Toy: training providers. Originally I was a junior web developer and graphic designer before being promoted to marketing manager. The diversity of responsibilities from digital and print design to search engine optimisation and social media strategy greatly expanded my marketing skill-set as well as design and development. Today I have joined an exciting new venture at Financial Edge Training. Building a brand from scratch is challenging but extremely rewarding, especially when the feedback from clients is super positive.
What Am I Keen On?
I love F1, motorsports and beautiful cars, although I will watch pretty much any sport; even golf, snooker and cricket, on occasion. Second to F1/MotoGP for viewing is rugby union, particularly in support of the Northampton Saints. When it comes to partaking, I play a lot of tennis competitively for a local club. I’m also a casual winter sports fan. I dislike leaving things behind that I enjoy, like breakdancing, which I took up for 3 years at university.
